Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told the army to do whatever was needed to end Palestinian rocket, mortar and bomb attacks, dismissing a call Sunday by the PLO leadership for a halt to militant violence. Hours after Sharon unleased the military, Israeli tank fire killed two Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.The Palestinians were killed after nightfall when a tank shell slammed into a house in a refugee camp near an Israeli settlement. Palestinians said the victims were a 28-year-old man and his 59-year-old mother. The man’s father was seriously wounded.
