A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an anthrax scare on July 12 that shut down the Meraux post office for about two days after a customer found a plastic bag filled with white powder accompanied by threatening writing in the lobby. Timothy Blake Dixon, of Holden, was arrested in Holden on Tuesday by two St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives, FBI spokeswoman Sheila Thorne said. Baumy said Dixon is a former resident of St. Bernard Parish. The incident “was proven to be a hoax, but this individual is being charged in connection with this incident,” Thorne said. Full Story
