A new piece of equipment is changing the way firefighters deal with hazardous materials for the better. In addition to being more efficient, it’s also keeping them safer. It’s called the HazCat Chemical Identification System and it uses chemistry to help hazardous materials teams identify potentially dangerous chemicals or substances that are dumped or spilled.
