A Saudi group linked to al Qaeda claimed responsibility early Tuesday for the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in which at least five employees and four attackers were killed. The claim of responsibility was posted on several Islamist Web sites often used by militants. Its authenticity could not be immediately verified.
