A top Ukrainian opposition leader says supporters of presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko have withdrawn from talks on last week’s disputed election, Interfax-Ukraine news agency reports.”We hereby announce that we have pulled out of the negotiating process. We are renewing the blockade of the government building and are demanding an emergency session of parliament (today) at 8 or 9 p.m. (1800 or 1900 GMT),” Oleksander Zinchenko was quoted as telling journalists. “We ask all deputies to be ready to participate and urge all our supporters to mobilise.” Ealier Tuesday, opposition supporters tried to enter parliament after lawmakers seemed to cool on their support for efforts to overturn the results of the disputed run-off. The country’s most senior judges also resumed hearings on Tuesday into claims by the Western-leaning opposition leader Yushchenko that the election was stolen from him by widespread ballot fraud.
