Officials may face charges in Juárez murders
As many as one hundred public officials could be facing criminal indictment or administrative sanctions over irregularities in the investigation of the slayings of women in Ciudad Juárez, the Chihuahua state attorney general’s office announced over the weekend. More than 300 young women have been killed in the northern city of Ciudad Juárez, in Chihuahua state, over the past decade. Many of the bodies that turned up had been sexually assaulted.
