Poland to cut Iraq force by 2006
Poland will reduce its commitment of forces to the war in Iraq by 40 percent by the end of 2005, the Polish Defense Ministry in Warsaw says. But Poland’s prime minister and defense minister gave contradictory public statements on the exact timetable for the withdrawal of troops. Currently, Poland has 2,500 soldiers committed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, but will reduce that number to 1,500 by December 2005, the Defense Ministry told CNN.Full Story
