Turnout Low in Bosnia's Local Vote
Many Bosnians ignored local polls Saturday in which the main Muslim, Serb and Croat nationalist parties are expected to remain dominant nine years after the end of the 1992-5 war. The state election commission said only one third of 2.3 million registered voters cast their ballots by 4 p.m. but expressed hope that the turnout may rise by the end of voting at 1700 GMT. “I think that turnout may rise by 10-15 percent,” said state election commission member Lidija Korac.Full Story
