Authorities arrested the Arreola brothers, Angel and Luis, who allegedly headed an international drug trafficking and money laundering ring, the Attorney General’s Office reported Friday. A source at the attorney general’s office said the arrests took place Thursday in Chihuahua state on the U.S. border, after investigations by SIEDO, the government agency dealing with organized crime, and the Federal Agency of Investigation (AFI). The tip-off came from nine drug traffickers captured in November and December last year in Veracruz state on Mexico’s east coast, and in the Federal District where Mexico City is located. Full Story
