Chilean former dictator Augusto Pinochet on Friday left the Santiago Military Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for a respiratory infection, doctors said. The 88-year-old retired general had reportedly recovered sufficiently from the illness that had caused his diabetes symptoms to flare up.
