Argentina’s Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that no statute of limitations applies in the case of the car-bomb murders of an exiled anti-Pinochet Chilean general and his wife in Buenos Aires in 1974. The ruling upheld the life sentence handed down against former Chilean secret police agent Enrique Arancibia Clavel, who was convicted in November 2000 of the slayings of Gen. Carlos Prats and his wife, Sofia Cuthbert. By a vote of 5-3, the members of the high court rejected an appeal from Arancibia Clavel. Full Story
