Argentines’ overall confidence in President Nestor Kirchner plunged 17 percent this month to reach the lowest level in his 16-month administration, just above 2 points on a scale of 0 to 5, according to a university poll. Since July 2003, when the president’s approval rating was at its highest, Kirchner’s numbers have slid 37 percent, the press reported Monday, citing a Torcuato Di Tella University survey.
