U.S. officials boarded a Turkish ship in the Delaware River on Thursday after the vessel’s captain — angry at delays caused by separate Coast Guard security checks — said there was a bomb on board, a Coast Guard official said. The captain quickly retracted the statement and said he did not mean it, but maritime security officials boarded the ship for a bomb check anyway. “They directed the vessel, which was en route to Philadelphia on the Delaware River, to an anchorage.
