Pakistani and Indian foreign ministers met on the sidelines of a regional conference Wednesday, hoping to speed the pace of peace talks that have given new hope that the nuclear-armed neighbors might put a permanent end to decades of hostility. Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri met his Indian counterpart, Natwar Singh, over breakfast at Islamabad’s Marriott Hotel, a spokesman said. He declined to give details. Singh is in Islamabad to attend a conference of foreign ministers from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, of which India and Pakistan are the two largest countries.Full Story
