Indian Foreign Minister Natwar Singh said Monday he would push for progress in talks to promote better ties between New Delhi and Pakistan when he meets Pakistani leaders this week. “I have come here with a message of goodwill and friendship from the government and people of India for the government and people of Pakistan,” Singh said in a written statement. The visit was Singh’s first to Pakistan since a new Indian government came to power in May. He will participate in a two-day conference of foreign ministers of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, a seven-member bloc that promotes regional economic, social and cultural cooperation.Full Story
