US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage says he is not asking Pakistan to send troops to help keep the peace in Iraq. He was speaking in Islamabad, on the latest stage of a regional tour. Mr Armitage made similar assurances about Indian troops during talks in Delhi on Wednesday. Mr Armitage also welcomed the recent appointment of Pakistani diplomat Ashraf Jahangir Qazi, as the new UN special representative to Iraq. The issue of sending troops to Iraq is widely opposed within Pakistan and India.Full Story
