FBI to air photos of suspected terrorists

The FBI and Attorney General John Aschroft will issue photos today of suspected terrorists who may be connected to intelligence indicating al-Qaeda is preparing a possible attack in the USA this summer, FBI officials said Tuesday night. The suspects include men who have been sought by the Justice Department for some time as well as some new faces, an FBI official said. Investigators do not know if the suspects are in the USA. Officials are concerned about the potential for an attack because of the convergence of many high-profile events, beginning this weekend when the World War II memorial is dedicated in Washington, D.C. The FBI is also concerned about security at the Democratic National Convention in Boston on July 26-29 and the Republican Convention in New York on Aug. 30-Sept. 2. Full Story
