Three Feared Dead, Five Hurt in Karachi Port Blast

Three people were feared killed and five people were wounded in an explosion at the port of the southern Pakistani city of Karachi Tuesday, an Interior Ministry official said. Private TV channel Geo quoted police as saying that the blast at Gate 17 of the port was caused by a parcel bomb. A rescue worker also said it appeared to have been caused by a bomb. Brigadier Javed Iqbal Cheema, the head of the ministry’s Crisis Management Cell, told Reuters three people were feared dead while five had been wounded. Full Story
