Five people were killed in a suicide bombing against the Baghdad home of a senior Iraqi official, while US troops rolled back into the center of the holy Muslim Shiite city of Karbala which was earlier deserted following weeks of heavy fighting. Three bodyguards, an unidentified woman and the attacker died in the fierce blast that smashed 22 cars, the US military said. Deputy interior minister General Abdel Jabbar Yussef was among at least 13 people hospitalized after the morning explosion outside his home in southeastern Baghdad. A statement attributed to a group led by Al-Qaeda-linked operative Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi said a Syrian member had carried out the bombing. Full Story
