The logical partitioning architecture that IBM Corp. uses to create independent divisions on a server has been certified under the Defense Department’s Common Criteria. The certification applies to the IBM eServer p630, p650 and p690 on the POWER4 platform. It verifies that the logical partitioning architecture creates truly separate partitions, so that a customer could create multiple installations of Linux or IBM’s AIX 5L operating system on one server.
