A Belgian court has approved the continued detention of a suspect wanted by Morocco in connection with suicide bombings which killed 45 people in Casablanca last year. The Moroccan known as Abdelkader H, can be held in a Belgian jail for at least another month as a suspected member of a group considered terrorists by Belgium, the court ruled on Wednesday. A spokeswoman for the Belgian federal prosecutor’s office said the decision was open to appeal. Police arrested Abdelkader H. and three other Moroccans late last week in a series of raids. The other Moroccans have also had their detention upheld. The police raids on 20 private homes in Antwerp, Brussels, and Tongres were part of an investigation into an Islamic fundamentalist movement.
