Guatemalan police have arrested a 29-year-old Guatemalan in the killing of an American tourist during the robbery of a bus this month. Marvin Verganza Ruiz was arrested in the town of Morales, Izabal, about 90 miles northeast of Guatemala City. Police announced the arrest Wednesday, but did not say when he was detained. The national police said they found pistols, shotguns and ammunition at the home where the arrest was made. Thirteen members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormons, most from Ogden, Utah, and Salt Lake City, were traveling from Quetzaltenango to the Mexican border on Jan. 7 when men opened fire with automatic weapons, forcing their bus to stop.
