A British soldier has been killed in an explosion in the Afghan capital, Kabul, the British army says. A number of UK soldiers and an Afghan interpreter were injured by the blast. Unconfirmed reports from the area say a suicide bomber crashed a car into a group of British soldiers that were on patrol in the east of the city. On Tuesday a Canadian soldier in the international peacekeeping force in Kabul was killed in a suicide attack being linked to the Taleban.
