Greece has done everything humanly possible to make the 2004 Athens Olympics safe, the chief of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge said in a statement published. “We are very pleased by the level of preparation. But no one can guarantee 100 percent security”, said Rogge in a statement, translated from French, that was published by organisers exactly 200 days ahead of the Games’ opening ceremony on August 13.
