Concerned about the growing number of attacks on them, around 150,000 teachers in government schools across Nepal have threatened to boycott the annual high school examinations in April, which will affect nearly 300,000 students. Four teachers’ organizations – Nepal Teachers’ Association (NTA), Nepal National Teachers’ Organization (NNTO), Nepal Teachers’ Forum and Nepal Revolutionary Teachers’ Association – are spearheading the agitation.
