Twenty-seven men have received jail sentences for taking part in a recent series of attacks on American and British businesses across Lebanon. One man tried in absentia – Ahmed Mikati – received a life sentence. Two others who masterminded the attacks were jailed for 20 years – the rest received shorter terms. The bomb attacks, which began at the end of 2002 and ended in April, targeted fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s and Pizza Hut. Full Story
