Four men arrested last week under anti-terrorism laws have been charged with possessing money to fund terrorism, police said Monday. West Midlands Police said the men were charged with obtaining and possessing cash to fund terrorism or “possessing articles or material which provide instruction or training to make firearms or explosives.” A force spokesman said the men, who range in age from 23 to 26, had each been charged with seven offenses under the Terrorism Act. Further details of the allegations were not made public. “All four men will remain in police custody and appear before magistrates,” on Tuesday, a spokesman for London’s Metropolitan Police said on customary condition of anonymity.
