A man with suspected links to the al Qaeda network of Osama bin Laden was arrested and jailed by Minneapolis authorities, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on Wednesday. The newspaper, quoting an unnamed law enforcement official, said the man confirmed some of investigators’ suspicions about Zacarias Moussaoui, who was indicted on Dec. 11, 2001, on six counts of conspiracy for allegedly having a role in the Sept. 11, 2001, hijack attacks that killed more than 3,000 people. Moussaoui, who denies involvement in the attacks but admits to being a member of al Qaeda, was arrested while in flight school and is the only person charged in connection with the attacks, which the United States says were orchestrated by bin Laden.
