The national commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks said on Wednesday it had reached an agreement with the White House over obtaining access to classified intelligence documents prepared for the president. “The commission received a briefing on this intelligence material, and has also sought to examine these documents in order to have direct access to information we need to prepare our report,” the commission said in a statement. “We are pleased to report that the commission has reached agreement with the White House on a process that will provide the commission with access to these key documents while recognizing the sensitivity of the information contained in them,” it said.
