Three dead as blast rocks US diplomatic convoy in Gaza
Three Americans were killed when a huge roadside bomb ripped through their diplomatic convoy in the Gaza Strip, in an unprecedented attack on a foreign target in the Palestinian territories. The three US security personnel died when a bomb hit and destroyed the second of three vehicles in the convoy which had been carrying diplomats to interview Palestinian students from Gaza wanting to apply for Fulbright scholarships to study in the United States. A fourth was seriously injured. US President George W. Bush warned that such attacks were an obstacle to a Palestinian state. Full Story
