Jordan said its troops killed two suspected armed guerrillas Monday as they tried to sneak into Israel from a village in Jordan’s northern border area. The state news agency Petra quoted Information Minister Nabil Sharif as saying border guards shot dead two armed men and wounded two others when they opened fire at border troops. Another official who asked not to be named said the armed men slipped into the border village of Waqqas at dawn to attack Jewish settlements along the heavily fortified frontier. Full Story
