Three soldiers in the U.S.-led coalition were wounded when an improvised bomb exploded in the middle of their convoy in eastern Afghanistan’s Kunar province, a U.S. military spokesman said Saturday. “The three soldiers were medically evacuated to Bagram Air Base yesterday and are in stable condition,” Lt. Col. Douglas Lefforge said. The nationalities of the soldiers were not disclosed, but U.S. Special Forces are operating in that area. Lefforge said a vehicle was also damaged in the explosion Friday afternoon five miles south of Asadabad, the capital of the province.
