Germany has lifted an advisory that cautioned its nationals against travelling to Kenya, amid increasing calls to other western nations to retract similar advisories. This was reported by the Kenyan Foreign Ministry. The ministry said this move was a reflection of the growing confidence by some western nations about Kenyan security. Earlier this year, Kenyan National Security Minister Chris Murungaru said intelligence reports showed that extremists were planning attacks in Kenya, an announcement that prompted Australia, Britain, Canada, Denmark, Germany and the United States to warn its nationals against travelling to Kenya.
