Bosnian forensic experts said Wednesday they had exhumed 40 bags of human remains believed to be of Muslims from around this eastern town killed by Serb forces at the start of the country’s 1992-5 war. The remains were unearthed from a so-called secondary mass grave in the area, which meant the victims were buried elsewhere but later dug up and moved to avoid detection, said Murat Hurtic, head of the regional Muslim forensic team. “We expect to find about 200 bags of remains here,” Hurtic told Reuters at the site after five days of digging.
