Police announced on Wednesday they had arrested two suspected members of the regional terror group Jama’ah Islamiah (JI) in Surabaya, East Java. National Police chief of detectives Com. Gen. Erwin Mappaseng said the suspects, identified as Usman and Yudi, were JI members who had trained at Moro rebel camps in the Philippines. “We are still investigating whether they were involved in the last year’s Bali bombings,” Erwin was quoted by SCTV as saying. The suspects admitted to knowing some of the defendants in the Bali bombings, including Mubarrok and Ali Imron, he said. Full Story
