Terrorists Reportedly Threaten to Attack US Embassy in Ethiopia

Sources have indicated that the US embassy in Ethiopia has received an attack threat. The sources said that at a time when terrorist attacks were feared to take place in the US and Western countries’ establishments based in east Africa, the US embassy in Ethiopia had received a warning that the embassy is being targeted by terrorists. As a result, the embassy was closed for three days and yesterday local and American staffs were told to go home. It was also learnt that the embassy has stopped its normal activities. However, no-one knows if the embassy had stopped its normal activities due the said threat. It has been learnt that the country’s [Ethiopia] security forces are on high alert fearing that Ethiopia might be the next terrorist target following the terrorist attacks that took place in Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
