Separatist rebels in north-eastern India are said to have released a German aid worker kidnapped last month. The aid worker, Heinrich Wolfgang Grey, was abducted by rebels in Manipur state. He had been working on community projects for a German non-governmental organisation. But it is not yet clear whether the rebels were paid any money to release him. The NGO for which Mr Grey was working had said they could not pay any ransom money. Mr Grey was abducted by rebels of the Kuki Liberation Army from a village near the Manipur capital, Imphal. He was travelling to inspect German-funded development work carried out by the United NGO Mission of Manipur when he was abducted. Full Story
