As U.S. forces tightened the noose on Baghdad yesterday and speculated that Saddam Hussein might have breathed his last, the United States’s other archenemy reared his head in a reminder that one man can elude the mighty U.S. military machine. A taped message purported to be from al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden calls for Muslims to use suicide attacks against Americans and to rise up against Islamic governments backing the war on Iraq. “If you start suicide attacks, you will see the fear of Americans all over the world,” the message says. The missive warns that the United States will move on and attack Islamic movements in other Muslim countries after Iraq, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Sudan. It called for Muslims to fight the governments of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, supporters of the war, it says. Full Story
