Saudi Arabia said that Adnan Gulshair Mohammad al-Shukrijumah, sought as an al-Qaeda suspect by the United States which says he could pose an imminent threat, was not a Saudi but a US citizen. The interior ministry said in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency that the man’s father, Gulshair Muhammad al-Shukrijumah, had lived in Saudi Arabia for 27 years until 1986. That year, the family left to the United States and the younger Shukrijumah now holds US citizenship, the statement said. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on March 20 that Adnan, 27, was a trained pilot who may be connected with al-Qaeda and could pose “a serious threat to US citizens and interests worldwide.” Full Story
