FEARS grew that terrorists could be planning a poison attack in Europe after the French Interior Ministry said last night that traces of ricin had been found at a mainline railway station in Paris. Officials said that police had found the poison in flasks discovered in a locker by staff at the Gare de Lyon in eastern Paris. On Monday the police had found two flasks containing a white powder, which tests revealed to be a “highly toxic” mixture containing ricin. They also discovered two other flasks and a bottle containing unidentified liquids. The discovery will increase fears that a pan-European Islamic network is preparing chemical attacks. It comes two months after police found traces of the chemical in a flat in North London. Full Story
