An Indian Government envoy has begun talks aimed at resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute. NN Vohra, a retired Indian civil servant, has been asked to initiate talks with politicians in Indian-administered Kashmir. The Indian Government have made several attempts at holding talks with Kashmiri representatives over the past year. But it has said Pakistan would have no role to play in this process. Pakistan, which also lays claim on Kashmir, says it is a party to the dispute and should therefore be included in any dialogue. Full Story
