A journalist in Indian Kashmir died on Friday after unidentified gunmen burst into his office and shot him, police said. His death brought to at least seven the number of journalists who have been killed by gunmen in violence-torn Jammu and Kashmir since a bloody uprising against Indian rule erupted in 1989. The attackers shot Parvaz Mohammad Sultan, editor and owner of the local Urdu-language news agency NAFA or News And Feature Alliance in his office in the heart of Srinagar, summer capital of the disputed Himalayan state.
