Lebanese police have shot dead a man who threw a grenade during an arrest operation at a house in east Beirut. Two officers were reportedly killed and two wounded when the man hurled the grenade at their car in the Hazmieh suburb on Sunday. He was then killed by police reinforcements, the AFP news agency said, quoting Beirut police. The agency’s sources described the dead man as a “drug trafficker”. Full Story
