German Intelligence Monitored Hamburg Cell Since 1998
Since August 1998 members of the Al-Qaeda cell in Hamburg had been under surveillance. German Intelligence had surveillance on meetings between Mounir El Motassadeq, Mohamed Haydar Zammar and Said Bahaji. Motassadeq, Zammar and Bahaji provided operational support for the September 11th hijackers. Bahaji later shared an apartment with Mohammed Atta and Ramzi Binalshibh. Full Story
