“Cyberforce” to fight online crime (UK)

A national “cyberforce” of computer specialists is to be established by the home office to police the internet and combat a rising tide of online crime. It was confirmed last night that the home secretary, Jack Straw, has assigned £337,000 to the UK National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS) to draw up plans for establishing a squad to counter criminal activity on the web.
