“Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) plans to increase its control over the country’s Internet, according to reports by ‘Kommersant.’ The Russian business daily reported on October 21 that the Communications Ministry has prepared a draft decree according to which all Internet providers must install special devices on their servers by July 1, 2014, that would store all online traffic data for the previous 12 hours, with the FSB having direct access to that data.”
