A majority (57%) of IT security decision makers across the globe think that cybersecurity solutions are reasonably priced considering the value they provide, a new survey by FireEye indicates. In addition, a quarter (25%) of respondents said cybersecurity is inexpensive, while only 18% consider it to be expensive. In the US, the number of respondents who considered cybersecurity expensive was significantly higher at 28%. While most infosec decision makers consider cybersecurity solutions affordable, only 8% think these products are very effective when it comes to securing companies.
The study also found that just over half (51%) of respondents think their firm is not fully prepared to deal with a cyberattack, and that about one in three organizations failed to test or update their incident response plan in the past year.
