A new report by Netwrix shows that even though one in three educational organizations suffered a cloud breach last year, only 12% increased their security budgets this year. According to IT professionals, 7 in 10 organizations in the education sector have insufficient budgets for securing their cloud environments, and virtually all (98%) organizations have so far failed to create a dedicated cloud IT security position.
The study also found that almost two-thirds (65%) of breached organizations blame business users and 71% have not classified all data in their cloud environments.
