Two recent studies shed light on cloud security. Independents reports by Bitglass and Synopsys both show that 93% of companies are worried about security in the cloud.
Bitglass found that the most common cloud security concerns relate to access control (52%) and anti-malware (46%). However, “the adoption rates of basic cloud security tools and practices are still far too low,” Rich Campagna of Bitglass concludes. The Synopsys report lists data loss and leakage (64%) and data privacy and confidentiality (62%) as top cloud security worries. It also notes that “SOCs are struggling with are compliance (34%) and lack of visibility into infrastructure security (33%).”
