Avanan has released a new infographic showing why email is the weakest link in cybersecurity. According to the report, 1 out of every 99 emails people receive at work is actually a phishing message. Moreover, phishing messages account for one in every 25 branded emails, with the most impersonated brands being Microsoft (43%) Amazon (38%).
The report also shows that in 2018, phishing campaigns targeted 83% of people, while 64% of cybersecurity professionals were targeted in spearphishing attacks. Despite this, 35% of workers still do not know what phishing is.
